PRAIRIE POST
October 16, 2020
Message from the Principal
Hello Prairie Friends and Families,
As a part of National Bullying Prevention Month, all Prairie Pumas are invited to wear orange on Wednesday, October 21st for Unity Day. At Prairie, we work together to prevent bullying and are united in kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. SDW Virtual Prairie families, please send any photos of you in your orange to Mrs. Anderson's email. We will gather for an all-school read-aloud on Wednesday afternoon to celebrate Unity Day. I will send a link to the event to all SDW Virtual Prairie students via WebEx Teams.
For our face to face families, we have many of you already signed up to attend virtual conferences! If you have not signed up yet, please visit the document below to get signed up. We look forward to meeting with many of you next week!
We are Team Prairie!
We are stronger together!
Carly Solberg
Principal

PTA News
Box Tops for Education: Our first Box Top collection is due by October 26th. Please send your box tops with your children so we can get them postmarked before the deadline. We are looking for someone to volunteer to manage our Box Tops for Education account. We also want to encourage families to get the box tops app for easy scanning at home as well as in person vouchers.
Scrip: Are you looking for an easy way to raise money to benefit our students and teachers? If so, you are in luck! Using the RaiseRight app from ShopWithScrip, you can select from 700+ top retailers/brands to earn money for school while shopping from your regular list.
How it works: Using the app you purchase e-gift cards at face value, and use them at face value. Earnings to the school come directly from the brands, so the cards you purchase are worth every penny. The e-cards are organized and ready to use within your personal app wallet immediately.
There is no limit on the amount of money you can raise, and no deadlines to worry about. Contact Sarah Paczesny at SarahPaczesny@gmail.com for more information about getting started with the program. If you had a previous login for Prairie on the ShopWithScrip website, simply use the same information to login to the app. Stay tuned for more information on physical gift card orders later this year.
