IN Tune: Mindfulness Practices
Part 1, with Lisa Madden, 500 RYT, 200 E-RYT, MACT, YACEP
Cultivate Calm, Release Stress
We live in a culture where we are constantly on “full tilt;” rushing from one thing to the next with little space to simply be and breathe. These lifestyle habits can create a perpetual state of stress, resulting in overall poor health, insomnia, lack of focus, intense emotional reactions, and other forms of “dis-ease.”
When you are in tune, you have clarity, understanding, resonance.
Mindfulness is simply the process of active observation and awareness of your moment to moment physical, mental, & emotional experiences. Practices are based on a blend of modern neuroscience and ancient wisdom. They can help us nurture relationships; cultivate calm; soothe the self; enhance memory & focus; alleviate stress; manage reactions & emotions; develop self-acceptance; and feel more at ease with challenging situations.
This series will serve as an introduction to mindfulness for beginners, but is also open to experienced practitioners who would like the context of a supportive community and calming environment. You will learn about the basics and benefits of mindfulness, and practice how to approach each moment with awareness. Each class will include a combination of lecture, practice, group feedback and discussion. Your tuition includes 3 online sessions and access to guided practices, discussion, and resources.
