Evamere Week in Review
April 24, 2017
Evamere International Fair was a big success!
Thank you to all the parents that volunteered for the International Fair.
PIF Renewal Levy
Our school district has placed a 1.5 mill, 5-year limited Permanent Improvement Fund (PIF) RENEWAL levy on the ballot. The levy, Issue 13, raises $1.3 million per year and provides $285,000 for technology annually. This renewal will cost the homeowner NO ADDITIONAL TAXES.
The funds generated by the PIF are used to take care of things in our buildings that aren’t always evident to parents, such as a new boiler, roof, windows, paint, lights, and ceiling tiles. The very things that keep our students safe, warm and dry. Keeping our students safe is a top priority. The PIF has provided many new safety features for Evamere including a new buzz-in secure entrance, new office space, security cameras, and radios that allow us to communicate district-wide. New buses for student transportation are also purchased each year. It is important to me that, if your child rides a bus, he or she arrives to school and back home safely each day.
We are grateful that our community has supported a separate PIF fund for capital expenditures since 1962. Please remember to vote on May 2nd!
Thank you!
