iPad Corner
Hello Hadfield families,
Welcome to the iPad Corner where you will find information, tools and updates every month regarding our one to one iPad use. As we begin a successful year, students need to bring their iPads to school charged at 100%. I like to remind them that just like they need to get a good nights sleep to be at 100% so do their iPads. You can achieve this with a simple plan in place where your child can keep it safe and plugged into the same spot every night as a routine. Each device is assigned to that specific student and should only be used by that student for learning.
This months featured app is “Book Creator”. This app allows your child to create their own book by adding photos, images, font, color, voice and much more. You can use this app in so many fun ways including family time. Go ahead and give it a try, I hope you love it as much as we do.

Waukesha County Dental Clinic
Hadfield second and third graders are invited to take advantage of a free dental program offered by the Waukesha County Community Dental Clinic.
This program is designed to provide dental examinations, decay prevention (fluoride varnish), dental sealants if needed, and education about keeping teeth and gums healthy. Sealants are a tooth colored, plasticlike material that has been proven to be very effective in protecting teeth from decay (cavities). They are placed only on the chewing surfaces of back teeth (molars), but are not put on teeth that already have cavities.
The program will take place at school on Friday November 2nd. and all second and third graders are invited to participate. Dental hygienists from the Waukesha County Community Clinic will talk with students about the program and about keeping their smiles healthy on October 15th. They will then send home permission forms.
