PRAIRIE POST
January 22, 2021
NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY, JANUARY 25
Message from the Principal
Hello Prairie Friends & Families,
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and is always a special time for our students. I know you may have received multiple communications about this through teachers with some conflicting messages for celebrations this year. I apologize for that. We collaborated today to establish common procedures for Valentine’s Day for this year. We are writing this as the final message on our school community’s Valentine’s Day plans:
Students may bring valentines for their classmates. Please make sure that Valentine’s Day cards are sent to school with your student by Thursday, February 4th.
If candy or a treat is included, it must be store-bought, individually wrapped, and not contain nuts.
Valentine’s Day cards will be passed out in the classroom and sent home. Families will then be able to decide whether or not they feel comfortable with their child(ren) consuming any candy and/or treats that are sent to school along with the cards.
We appreciate your support during this most unusual year.
Have a great, long weekend!
We are Team Prairie!
We are stronger together!
Carly Solberg
Principal
School Supplies
As we enter the second half of the school year, we are finding the need to replenish some classroom supplies for the student bins. We are asking each student to bring in another box of crayons, box of markers, and 2 glue sticks. Please label and return to school with your child so they can be added to their plastic bin of supplies. If you are willing to donate any extra supplies, we will be happy to accept those. Thank you so much for your support.
