ReadyRosie Refresher PD for Grades PreK-3
"Ready Rosie is an early education tool that helps families, schools, and communities across the nation deepen and scale their family engagement efforts. Our tools leverage the power of video modeling, family workshops, professional development opportunities, and mobile technology to build powerful partnerships between families and educators, resulting in Ready Families, Ready Educators, Ready Children."
During this 1-day session, participants will be introduced to ReadyRosie®, an early education tool that helps families, schools, and communities deepen and scale their family engagement efforts. Participants will discuss how families are assets, examine the importance of understanding community cultural wealth, explore barriers and biases experienced by families and teachers, and identify strategies that nurture positive family partnerships and drive learning beyond school walls. Participants will explore ReadyRosie® resources and technology that enable ongoing two-way communication between families and the classroom. Participants will learn how to register families and caregivers and create and share curated Modeled Moments videos and playlists. Additionally, participants will be introduced to other helpful ReadyRosie® resources, including a collection of ready-to-use family workshops.
This PD will be an overview of Ready Rosie. It is intended for all teachers in PreK-3rd Grade. It will help you learn more about how to use and effectively implement ReadyRosie to help build powerful family partnerships to make connections between learning in the classroom and learning at home.
This can be used for a FWD or a $150 Stipend.

95% Group Intervention Groups Refresher
Launching Intervention Groups (LIGs) Initial Training (and Refresher): The goal of initial training for launching intervention groups is to prepare educators (teachers, interventionists, Title I, Special Educators, Education assistants, etc.) to work effectively within a MTSS / RTI model. Grade levels are grouped in a way that allows each to focus on the critical diagnostic measures and instructional strategies that pinpoint and address specific skill deficit areas, and allows teachers to monitor the effectiveness of instruction, adjusting as needed. During this initial training educators will:
- Begin to develop a common language related to assessment and instruction
- Develop an understanding of the difference between Tier I (Core) instruction and Intervention.
- Consider the best model for delivering intervention instruction and see the possibilities (Walk to Read model).
- Become familiar with the grade level appropriate continuum (or continua) that represent specific skills that must be addressed, from the easiest to more complex (Advanced Phonological Awareness; Blending; Phonics)
- Have the opportunity to learn and practice administering and analyzing diagnostic assessments (PASI / PSI) including how to form appropriate groups based on lowest skill deficit areas
- Have the opportunity to learn and practice delivering instruction using the intervention materials they will be teaching from
- Refine their understanding and practice of the Gradual Release of Responsibility approach to instruction (I Do, We Do, You Do)
Who should attend: Teachers and Paraprofessionals who use 95% Group for Intervention during the school day AND anyone who plans to teach after school reading during the 23-24 School Year.
*It is okay to attend this a second time. Anyone who attended in June can also attend in August.
