Reporting Absences
Parents are required to report all student absences whether we are face to face learning or distance learning. If your child will be absent for any reason, please contact the main office or attendance line at Pine Knob Elementary.
When leaving a message:
State child’s name and your name;
Note the reason for and date of the absence;
If illness-related, please state any symptoms your child is experiencing;
If symptoms are any of those associated with COVID-19, the school/district will follow up with you regarding any necessary next steps.

If absences are not reported, a follow-up email will be sent with a Google Form to fill out regarding the information listed above. It is essential for parents to work with school personnel for the benefit of everyone involved and the sake of our community’s health.

Oakland County Vision Screening
The Oakland County Health Department will be performing its annual free vision screening for students that are in young 5's, first, third and fifth grades. The vision screening will be taking place at PKE on November 30th through December 7th.
If your student is not in young 5's, first, third or fifth grade and you would like their vision checked, please let their classroom teacher know and you will receive a permission slip to fill-out.
