SIGN UP FOR FALL CONFERENCES NOW
Fall conferences are scheduled on Thursday, October 10th and Tuesday, October 15th from 3:40-7:40. We will also hold conference on Thursday, October 17th from 12:40-3:40. Conferences will be scheduled in twenty minute time blocks.
As in past years. Summit Elementary will use Family Access through Skyward to schedule Parent/Teacher Conferences. You may log in to Family Access and begin scheduling now. Scheduling will close Tuesday, October 8th at 10:00 a.m.
You may click here for a link to the Family Access Log in Page located on the OASD website. Once you open Family Access click on the Teacher Conference Tab along the left hand side of the page.
If you have multiple children in the school, we recommend that you complete this process early for the best chance at grouping your conference times together. Please consider leaving a block of time in between conferences so that you can have a full 20 minute conference for each child.
We request that parents who live in separate households schedule just one conference with each child’s teacher. By attending the conference together, we are able to share the same information with both parents at the same time. If this will not be possible for your family, please contact Mr. Stuckey at 262-560-8301.
(Please note Mrs. Bakken, Mrs. Mueske, and Mrs. Koszycki will be holding some additional options for their 4K classes on September 17th since 4K students do not attend school that day. Those additional options will appear when you log in to Skyward).
If you do not have internet access, please contact the Summit Elementary office
at 262-560-8305 to schedule your conferences.
We look forward to meeting with you soon!
HUSKY POWER IS STARTING WEDNESDAY
All 1st-4th grade classrooms will be launching Husky Power once again by Wednesday, October 2nd. Kindergarten will start later in October.
We designed Husky Power, a dedicated time within the school day for extra practice, intervention and extension, to increase the amount of time our learners are engaged in individualized instruction. In addition to their regularly scheduled math and reading time, Husky Power creates a block of time dedicated to providing all children targeted support, practice and/or enrichment/extension in literacy or math instruction for 30 minutes, four days per week.
Through collaborative planning, our grade level teams reviewed the progress and performance of all students in each grade in order to determine the needs of each individual. We are fortunate at Summit to have a talented and skilled staff beyond our grade level classroom teachers. This affords students potential opportunities to work with multiple grade level teachers or support staff such as the reading specialists, math and literacy intervention teachers, learning resource teachers, gifted and talented teachers, and paraprofessionals during Husky Power time.
As we implement our Husky Power learning block, our focus will remain on the best interests of our Summit students. If you have any questions, or would like to discuss this further, do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher or Mr. Stuckey.
