Hello CCS Families!
We hope you have all been having a fun filled and relaxing summer. We are excited to see you all at the start of school on Monday, August 29th! As we continue to prepare our building and classrooms for the upcoming school year, we know you all might be looking to prepare to come back-to-school.

Back-to-School Essential Information
Arrival/Dismissal Times & Student Drop-off/Pick-up
Arrival: 8:00am-8:15am
Dismissal: approx. 2:40pm
Early Release Day: approx. 12:40pm
Late Arrival (Tardy): 8:20am and after; Please bring your child to our school office if arriving at 8:20 or later.
Early Dismissal: Please go to the main office to dismiss your child early. If someone other than the parent/guardian is picking up your child, please provide the school with a note providing permission.
Student Drop-off/Pick-up occurs at the front of the building along the sidewalk. Please follow signs and staff directions to make this as smooth of a process as possible. Patience and kindness is very much appreciated as students, staff and guardians adjust to this process. Photo ID may be requested for adults who are unfamiliar to staff helping with dismissal.

If your child needs to take a bus to someplace other than their home, please provide the school with a note providing permission.

NEED HELP GETTING SCHOOL SUPPLIES?
Families who need assistance with getting school supplies/backpacks for their child(ren) are asked to contact our school as we may be able to help.
CCS Student Handbook
Our student handbook has information about school procedures and policies as well as school board policies. It is updated and annually approved by the Chichester School Board. It can be found at our website under "For Families" --> "Forms & Handbook".

This is a self-serve system. You are welcome to visit our site as often as you like to view our daily announcements, or you can sign up by following the instructions below to get announcements emailed to you as they are posted.

Chichester Central School Newsletters
Newsletters are sent out frequently via email and are posted on our school website. Please be sure that the email address you have in your ALMA parent/guardian account is accurate. View our newsletters on our website under "For Families" --> "CCS Newsletters".
ALMA: Re-registration Forms for Returning Students
Parents/guardians of returning Chichester Central School students, please log into your Parent ALMA account (cc.getalma.com--Where you go to see report cards, grades & attendance) to complete this year's re-registration forms. These forms should be completed before the first day of school. There will be a link on your ALMA dashboard below each child called "ALMA Start Forms & Tasks".
These annual forms update contact information for our alert system for school notices and emergency alerts. The contact information you provide is also used by your child's teachers to contact you. The forms include important permission forms that provide the school with permission to provide/seek medical attention for your child in the event of an emergency, permission to access school technology. Please be sure to read these carefully and contact the office or tech department with any issues you have.

Medical Information
Please provide the school nurse, Julie Strazzeri, with any hard copies of physicals/immunization records, paperwork regarding prescription medication to be used at school, prescription medication and any other paperwork about specific medical needs (ie. medical conditions or regarding temporary injuries). Please contact her with any questions prior to the start of school. jstrazzeri@sau53.org

Our monthly food menu and information about your MySchoolBucks meals account are available online at our website under "For Families" --> "Food Services".
2023-2024 FOOD PRICES
ALL MEALS MUST BE PREPAID!
Grab-n-go breakfast is $1.50, Reduced is $0.
Snacks range from $.30 to a $1.00.
Lunch prices K-4 $2.50 & 5-8 $2.70; Reduced lunch is $0.40
*Prices subject to change
HOW TO PAY FOR LUNCH
Payments can be made in cash or by check. Please make checks out to “Chichester Central School” and remember to include your child’s name on the check!
We also have an online payment system, MySchoolBucks.com. You will need to ask the school for your child’s ID number in order to set up your account. In MySchoolBucks.com, you can see purchase history for your child and you can set up auto-payments to add to your child’s lunch account balance when it reaches a certain dollar amount.
When your child gets hot lunch, the amount will automatically be deducted from the account.
Free & Reduced Lunch
Families may apply for Free or Reduced Lunch benefits at any time during the year. FAQs and an income guideline chart as well as an application are available at the main office and on our website under "For Families" --> "Food Services".
After School Care Options for Families
We will be offering two off-site after school care options for the families of CCS students this year. Please contact these two off-site programs directly for pricing, availability, and specific programming questions.

Come to the library with your ID. We offer free cards for residents, and $25 a year cards for non residents. Town and school employees who are non-residents may obtain a card at no cost.
