CLIMATE & CONNECTEDNESS SURVEY
We value input from our families. You are an important partner as we work to continually improve each school’s environment. Each parent/guardian is asked to complete one survey.
You can access the survey via the following websites:
surveys.panoramaed.com/aasb or https://goo.gl/Enqoi2.
Then enter the code: eagleacademyfamily
Results from this survey will be used to identify family perceptions of school climate issues within our school(s). School staff use the results to inform their efforts to ensure schools are safe, supportive, and caring places for all students.

It's Cold Outside - Winter Gloves Needed
We have had so many students forgetting gloves that we are short on loaner gloves. With the weather as cold as it has been, once we no longer have insulated loaner gloves to hand out, we have to send students to sit in the lunchroom during recess.
We would really appreciate it if you could please make sure *DAILY* that your student(s) have ALL of their winter gear before you leave your house in the morning. They are required to have hats and gloves as well as coats, pants and boots.
Thanks so much, in advance, for taking an extra minute in the morning to verify your student(s) are fully prepared for our beautiful Alaska winter weather. We appreciate your extra effort!

another Geo Bee until next January, AND this club is just to meet together and

Policy Change Consideration
The Academic Policy Board is considering a policy change regarding staff dress code. The change would revise language found on page 18 of the Policies & Procedures Manual regarding staff dress code to the following (highlighted portion is the revision):
- Eagle Academy Charter School employees (including substitutes) are expected to model professionalism at all times and to dress in a manner that enhances the school's public image. The public must be able to differentiate between students and the school staff. Staff shall adhere to all dress and grooming policies during regular school business hours.
A change in policy requires it to be put out as public notice to allow input from the school community. Input can be given by attending our next meeting (Feb. 4th, 5:45 pm) and sharing during public comment, or can be given by emailing an APB member and asking it to be shared at the next meeting.
Oh What Fun!
Were you there on Friday at the Annual Family Science Night? Wasn't it so fun seeing all the local Alaskan vendors there presenting all things Science? We hope your student(s) now have their Science brain cells going, we can't wait to see all the Science Fair projects on display in a few weeks!
Thank you, Mrs. Pogue, for a wonderful event!
Thank you, volunteers, for cleaning up, we appreciate you!
