100 BOOK CHALLENGE
Second grade celebrated their first 100 Book Challenge runway walk with School Resource Officer Zaffino handing out bookmarks to students who read 25 books or more. Students were excited to cheer on the Super Readers. Thank you to Mrs. Gross for setting us up with such a wonderful program. Can’t wait to see what “stars” will walk the runway next month!
THIRD GRADE
The Tawanka Third Grade kicked off the New Year by celebrating our “Character Counts” theme. Students were taught about 8 different pillars of character. Each teacher awarded eight worthy students for each of the following pillars of character: Respect, Honesty, Responsibility, Perseverance, Courage, Citizenship, Positivity and Cooperation. We celebrate these student leaders, and look forward to recognizing many more!
