From the Principal
Welcome to April!
Welcome Spring and warm weather! Spring is a great time to clean out those backpacks and lunch boxes. Please make sure you check the weather as it can change drastically from arrival to dismissal and we want children prepared. We have a lot of fun and exciting events planned during the fourth quarter and will be reaching out for support from the community. We look forward to seeing more faces in person!
This past month has been so exciting for our students as we celebrated their Read-a-Thon goal by raising over $20,000 and got to have their first outdoor assembly! Mrs. Taylor and I enjoyed being slimed and I think the students enjoyed it as well. We also finished with our First in Math March Madness Challenge. Congrats to Mrs. Freitas class for accruing the most stickers! Check out the pictures below from their GLOW party! We are so proud of our students and appreciate all of their families dedication to student success.
Third Quarter report cards will be emailed on Wednesday, April 27th. Please contact your child's teacher if you would like to discuss your child's progress.
We have some exciting days this month!
April 4-8: National Assistant Principal's Week. Make sure you give a shout out to Mrs. Taylor for all of her efforts.
April 4-8: School Librarian Appreciation Week! We are thankful for Ms. Skinner, Ms. Lucas, and Ms. Dickey! They are amazing!
April 27th: Secretaries Day! We can't wait to show our secretaries, Ms. Sines, Ms. Spadaro, and Ms. Byers how much we appreciate them!

Math Team News
This month, we introduced March Madness to our school as a First in Math competition. Each week, teams in grades 1-5 competed against each other to move onto the next round of the competition by playing fluency games and earning stickers. The teams with the most stickers at the end of each week advanced to the next round. We are now in the final week of the competition and are proud to announce that our students have worked to earn 638,535 stickers so far this year! The final two teams in our bracket are Mrs. Frietas' and Ms. Lee's first grade classes. The grand champion, Mrs. Freitas' class earned a Neon Glow party in the gym complete with games and dancing.
We are so proud of all our Eagles for working so hard to earn stickers!
