A Few Words from the Principal
It was great to see many of you at our first Showcase Night on Wednesday. We love being able to have our families and communities be part of the learning that happens here at MT. We had several students who shared their poetry out loud at our poetry cafe and even more that had their poetry on display to share with everyone in attendance. Our seventh grade math classes invited everyone into their restaurant classrooms that students will be visiting to help understand the upcoming math concepts. While our 7th great scientists had on display their endangered species posters for the community to view and vote on the animal that we should donate money to protect. Our artists created 3D models of sculptures for community feedback. Student Netflix videos, product inventions and advertisements, artwork, me presentations, and much more were on display for students to share.
We are already planning for the quarter 2 Showcase on December 15. We hope to see many of you there.
Basketball competition started this week with the girls taking on Leavenworth on Tuesday and Mill Creek on Thursday. The energy, focus, and team work was great to see on and off of the court. I am looking forward to many more games and watching them grow together as the season progresses. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the amazing stunts our cheerleaders are doing during the games.
During all of this the PTA did a 50/50 raffle to raise money to support MTMS and J. Botkins was the winner. Congratulations and Thank You to all who participated.
I also don't want to forget that our 50+ wrestlers took to the mats at MVHS for their first matches of the season. Thank you, Mill Valley and Mr. Wurtz for making this happen.
We are so fortunate to have all of you in our MTMS family. Thank you for being so involved in your student's education!

The Publications staff is really trying to increase our student life coverage... We need your help! Feel free to answer one or all of the questions. The more you answer, the better your chance of being in the newspaper or yearbook!
