The Maker Place Tour
See more pictures from the Maker Place tour last week.
Thank you to Mrs. Barb Mulvany for sending in these photos!
A group of MEA families went to see the Maker Place, which is located on Morena Boulevard, this past Friday. What a fun trip it was for all of us!! We learned about the many classes available at the MP and the machines people can come use to work with wood, acrylic, metal and sewing to name just a few. It was a busy place with many people using multiple machines. We learned you can not only take classes at the MP, but you can rent space for your own machines, use the machines there to run your own business, and even find work there as requests are made for specific jobs from outside the MP. It was very interesting to see the crafting that has been done and was taking place while we were there. For anyone interested in “making,” this is a must see. We all enjoyed the tour and learned the many possibilities available at the workshop for anyone interested. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

Student Study Group Schedules
This is the last week of the Fall semester that students may make changes to their study group schedules. Starting next Monday, October 9, students will need to make changes through initiating an Add/Drop form, which can be obtained from their subject teacher or the counselor.
Impact Aid Program Survey Forms
Impact Aid Program Survey Forms will be mailed out to you on Wednesday, October 4. Please fill yours out and bring it to your supervising teacher right away and no later than Thursday, October 12. If you didn't receive a form, there are blank forms available in the front office, library, computer lab or from your supervising teacher.
As a special incentive to help meet this important deadline, the students of the first supervising teacher that gets 100% of their forms turned in will get an Ice Cream PARTY!
Sometimes we get questions on why the impact aid program survey form needs to be filled out every year. Each year our district receives over $10 million in Impact Aid funding. This is not automatic – we must apply for it each year and we need the information from you. Thank you for getting this done and helping funds come to our school!
Monday Message to Students
STUDENTS, would you like to receive the Monday Message directly to your personal email address? This can be helpful, especially for older students, so you can stay informed of what's happening here at Mt. Everest Academy. Please go to this link to submit your own email.
