Kindergarten Newsletter
Mrs. Henson's Kindergarten
Kindergarten Family,
I am so grateful for your cooperation and patience last week as we got things up and going. I also deeply appreciate those that were able to give feedback on Friday. I heard you and considered all the information as I planned for our virtual learning this week. While I am required to do certain things via our district administration, my #1 priority is to support your student and family during this time. Please, don't hesitate to message me anytime!
I believe even in the midst of hard things, there is ALWAYS an element of good. The good I see so far has been the awesome way our school staff, parents, students, and community have rallied together to get virtual learning up and going in less than a week. Many school districts throughout the country are not able to provide this. They are simply closed with no learning taking place. We are so blessed and fortunate to have this opportunity to keep learning and growing together. We are a TEAM and I am so thankful for each and every one of you. Keep up the good work!
Below is some very important information for the week. You will still receive a daily Remind message with a picture of lesson plans for that day. However, aside from that, this weekly Newsletter will provide most other information you need. I hope this helps, as I understand multiple messages (for some of you from multiple teachers) can be overwhelming!

Guidelines for Daily Work
- From now on, there will be new assignments given Monday-Thursday. Fridays will be review days, intervention time, time to complete assignments from earlier in the week and time to get needed assistance. Students will not be given new assignments on Friday.
- Please do not stress if you are not able to complete all assignments on a given day. The daily assignments are more to help with sequencing, so that students are learning in a logical order. Remember, Friday will be a day to catch up on anything you might not have done earlier in the week.
- Based on parent feedback from last Friday, we liked all the learning that can be done digitally My goal is to make things easier for you. :)
- It should not be taking your child more than 2 hours per day to complete assignments. Feedback was widespread on this question, so I made a few modifications to the amount of work. If it is taking more than 2 hours to complete daily assignments, please let me know and I will provide suggestions for your individual child.
