A New Start-Favoring Blacks
Has voting no longer became white men's rights?
Reconstruction
The Emancipation Proclamation issued by Abraham Lincoln in 1863 after the Civil war, granted slaves in the South their freedom. As the South continues to rebuild itself following a few years later.....
Feb 3, 1870
The amendment passed on by congress on December 6th 1865 which gave blacks the right to stay around like citizens. However many do not agree to this new way of living. Allies like the Klu Klux Klan turn against them. Going back into time on the election Abraham Lincoln vs. Stephen Douglas. White man had only voted at the time.
On February 3,1870 of the 15th amendment "right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude." gave African American the right to vote.
While this new cause leads to a new revolution, but leaves a concern for the south. I say it still gives victory for the civil rights African Americans hold.
