A-Team Updates
11/5/2018
New Business
- Kevin and Kelli are our facilitators. You should be THROUGH Discipline #4 by this meeting.
- This is our ONLY A-Team this month. Please be sure to put any potential discussion items on the agenda. Our next meeting is Wednesday, December 5.
Upcoming District Dates: Please see image. We are going to try to send this out at the beginning of each month with upcoming district-level meetings listed. Please feel free to use/share/send.
Our Next Focus 3 Half-Day (1/16/19)
Block out a morning 1/2 day for our next meeting with David Trichel. I am working on a location.
Hour of Code (12/3-7)
Amy and Janice will be in touch to schedule a meeting with each principal about how they can assist each building.
RTI Coaches Margaret Searle Training (11/14-15)
I will be sending an email today with additional information and clarifying attendee changes. Reminder, this training is concurrent with Late Arrival. If you are attending, you will want to make sure your building has a plan for that morning.
Branching Minds / Data Review
Janice, Amy, and I have been meeting individually with teachers on request. This seems to be a good way to help resolve issues, answer questions, and provide "intervention" in helping teachers understand BrM and their testing data. Please continue to encourage teachers to meet with us. We've been helping with planning and prepping as well as talking instruction, groupings, resources. We've also followed up with principals about these meetings, so you know who has requested help as well.

Inspiration This Week
Data
State Test Item Analysis
What it shows: Standards performance for every grade on last year's test.
How to use it: Teachers can look at current students' performance for overall strengths and weaknesses or look at last year's performance
Other Analysis: I am highlighting standards where > 50% scored poorly and providing links to resources as appropriate (ex. HS writing rubrics)
Value-Added Reports
What it shows: Building level performance and student projections (Teacher designations not yet available)
How to use it: Work with Janice to understand student projections and how to incorporate into instruction.
EVAAS Training
EVAAS informational session. Review for seasoned users and support for new users. I will be forwarding an email about this.
