New Teachers
John Patron will teach 2nd grade. He is a veteran teacher from the district who is making an exciting transition from high school to elementary school. He will be taking Mrs. Goldmann's place on our staff, as she chose to move to Lincoln Street Elementary.
Beverlee Byers will be an additional English Language Specialist and here half days (we share her with Indian Hills). Ms. Byers will be adding to Jackson some great expertise from Free Orchards for our students and families, as well as our teachers.
Melissa Kuehnel will be our new Speech and Language Pathologist. She is a new clinician, with an educational background in adaptive communication. Ms. Prevost moved to Las Vegas over the summer for a new opportunity outside of schools.
Mrs. Shotts is taking a one year leave so that she can help a school in Qatar begin a special education department - so exciting! We are currently in the process of finding a temporary replacement.
Ma Kecai is our new Confucius Institute Teacher for Chinese classes. She has been in the United States working at a middle school in Wilsonville for a year and is excited to begin working with younger students at Jackson.
Tina Feldhaus was introduced in a spring newsletter last year; she will be joining our 3rd grade team!
