You must present evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litagation. Lawyers also have to present and summarize cases to judges and juries. Being a lawyer you must negotiate settlements of civil disputes, peform administrative and managment functions related to practicing law, and analyze findings to develop strategies.
Working Conditions
Lawyers travel around the country to attend meetings and go to court. Heavy pressure is put on them when they're trying a case, and lawyers must keep up on latest laws and judicial decisions. Salaried lawyers have a structured schedule while private practice lawyers generally have irregular hours, including weekends. Lawyers work fifty hours a week or more.

To be a lawyer you must have a high school degree, a bachelor's degree, and a law degree.
