Hammerschmidt's Happenings

The Champion - By Carrie Underwood
** The video includes the "Kinnick Wave" tradition at the University of Iowa were football players and those in Kinnick Stadium wave to patients at the Children's Hospital that overlooks the field. My stepdaughter goes to the University of Iowa. Inclusion in this video is a pretty big deal for all the students there and is truly a gesture worth celebrating.

WHS Staff Spotlight:
This is Heather Gleason's 3rd year at WHS. She enjoys cooking, crafting/decorating, training my dog Hallie, and I enjoy traveling to new places when I get the chance.
Some of Heather's favorites include:
Song- Five More Minutes by Scotty McCreery
Food- I will never turn down french fries.
Movie- Remember the TItans. It has an inspiring story of different people coming together, football, and Denzel Washington - what's not to love?
Personal Hero: I think a hero inspires you to be better or to do more. My husband, Scott, inspires me every single day. His passion for what he does, his work ethic and humble attitude inspire me to work hard and do my best.
Finally, Heather believes, "Build relationships and keep learning fun!!"
I now have 34 total, but that isn't everyone......
If you did not complete this at the beginning of the year, please take a few minutes to complete this. Thank you very much for your cooperation. The link is below:
