What's Happening on Campus?

Report Cards

Friday, January 22 report cards can be viewed in Home Access Center (HAC). The guardian's username will be your full email address and if a password has not been set up, will be the guardians first and last initial with the word Keller, example JHKELLER.

If you cannot log in, please call our campus secretary, Jenni Hill for assistance.

Rodeo Day

Rodeo Day is next Friday, Jan. 22nd during your child's co-curr time. Students should wear tennis shoes and not boots to Rodeo Day.

Attention Volunteers

We have moved our second copier back to the workroom. At this time both copiers are in the same room. One copier will be designated as a Volunteer/Teacher copier and the second one will be for staff use only.

Attendance Reminders

Please be sure and contact the school when your child is absent. You can email your child's teacher and/or talk with Caroline in the front office. It is important that you send in a note from your child's doctor if taken to the doctor. A child will have an unexcused absence if we do not receive a call, an email or a doctor's note from you.

Bucket Drumming Club

The KHES Bucket Drumming Club will be performing at the KISD Retired Teachers Luncheon on Feb. 3rd. Permission forms have been sent home and must be returned to Mrs. Masters for your child to attend the performance.

The KISD School Walk for Diabetes will be held on April 2, 2016

In preparation for this, the P.E. dept is starting a fundraiser selling Paper Diabetic Shoes. The sale will start Monday Feb 2 and “RUN” through Friday, February 26th. Each shoe requires a $1.00 donation.

This year, the teacher whose class (per grade level) with the most shoes purchased will be allowed the opportunity to put a pie in the face of: Mrs. Eriksen, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Smith, Mrs. Shipp or Nurse Rhonda. Names will be drawn for this event. Also, the student, per grade level, who donates the most money towards buying paper shoes will be given the opportunity to “pie” their choice of the above mentioned names.

We thank you in advance for all of your help and support.

Where in the world has Mrs. Eriksen been?

On New Years Day, I managed to break my finger while trying to tie off a boat. As a result of that break, I've also had to have surgery. Never realized just how important one little finger is and just how much you depend on each one. The surgery did go very well and I go back for a follow up visit in a week. In the meantime, my typing skills are limited. Typing has been not an easy task!

I finally returned to school on Wednesday of this week. Seeing the students and the staff truly brightened my day.

How Do You Make a Teacher Smile? CHOCOLATE!

Our teachers LOVE CHOCOLATE & Jean's Passes! If you would like to donate bags of miniature candies like Reese's, Twix, M&M's, etc. just drop them off in the front office. Mrs. Eriksen keeps a bucket of chocolate in her office everyday specifically to make the entire staff SMILE.

Thank you to for the donations so far!! We've seen many, many smiles!!
