ELA
Learning Targets:
I can understand informational text more by analyzing the structure of the text.
I can learn more about informational text by analyzing text features.
I can use my knowledge of narrative writing to write a personal narrative.
Science & Social Studies
Science
Learning Targets:
I can use characteristics and behaviors of an animal in order to classify it as a mammal, bird, reptile, amphibian, fish, or arthropod.
Social Studies:
This week, our district will celebrate Founders' Week, a time to commemorate those who have shaped our country as well as the documents that have guided our democracy.
This week encompasses many state and federally-mandated patriotic programs, including Celebrate Freedom Week and Constitution Day.
Math
Math
Learning Targets:
I can divide multi-digit whole numbers, up to five digits by two digits, including using a standard algorithm with procedural fluency.
I can represent remainders as fractions.
Homework
Science:
Vocabulary: Animal Classification Vocabulary due 9/29
Study Log:
Due 9/25: Plant life cycles & Parts of a Flower
Due 10/2: Animal Classification Key Ideas & Vertebrate/Invertebrate Charts
Social Studies:
None (unless work in class is not finished)
Math:
There will be a worksheet each night Monday - Thursday. On Tuesday, we will have a quiz covering long division. There will be a test Friday covering multiplication and division. A study guide will go home Wednesday night.
ELA:
Diaz ELA- Cursive Q-U, Minimum of 5 Units of Lexia is required weekly. They may be completed at home and are due on Sundays.
Johns ELA-Lexia should be completed in class. Good Morning Sunshine/Vocab and Spelling due Friday
Make sure your student has headphones-we use them in all classes!
