October 9, 2020

We may have had a short week but it was certainly packed with learning. We also had Parent Teacher Conferences. If you were unable to meet with your child's teacher, please reach out to schedule a meeting. Please remember you do not need to wait for a conference time to meet with the teachers. Be proactive and reach out any time you need clarification on an assignment, you are having difficulty seeing grades, or wonder if your child is missing assignments. The teachers are always willing to help you.

Trunk or Treat Canceled

After speaking with Father Howard and PAC, it has been confirmed that due to current COVID conditions, and to continue to keep our school community safe, we will not hold the Trunk or Treat event this month. If you are looking to attend an event, please check with other communities.

rosary walk

Wednesday was the feast of the Holy Rosary. Last year we did a rosary in the gym with the eighth graders leading. This year, looked a little different:

  • 7th and 8th graders make a paper "bead" with an image/statement to go with the Glorious Mysteries
  • They laid out the "beads" on the pavement-maybe between Church and School-in the pattern of a Rosary
  • Classes went out and prayed the Rosary as a class and looked at the images and discussed. Some students brought their own rosary to use.

Below are some pictures of 1st & 2nd grade. Thank you to Mr. Breunig for organizing this!

We Still Need Playground Help!

The links to sign up for playground duty for trimesters 2 & 3 are below. Please remember that if there is inclement weather and recess is to be held indoors, volunteers do not need to come on those days. Only the Playground Supervisor and Assistant will be needed to help in the building. This could change once volunteers are allowed back in the building.

A Message from Archbishop Listecki

Even though we can’t gather in person for this year’s 2020 Soles for Catholic Education Walk, I hope you will join me in supporting Catholic education at this very important time. Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee are making a difference every day in the lives of our students. You can make a difference by helping your favorite school reach its goal for the Soles for Catholic Education Walk. Every dollar raised by a school stays with that school. Please consider making a donation to help your favorite Catholic school. There has never been a better time or greater need to support our Catholic schools than right now. Thanks for your consideration.

Sincerely, Most Reverend Jerome E. Listecki Archbishop of Milwaukee

All the money donated to Holy Angels School goes to the school. This year we are looking to raise money to help build the classroom libraries with leveled reading books for the students to use. We hope to raise $5000. Please share this link with friends and family.
