Earl Lloyd was the first black NBA player ever he was born in April 3 1928 and died February 26 2015 at age 86 he is from Alexandria VA he went to college at west Virginia state was drafted in the 9th round of 1950 draft October 31 1950 he lead his team to CIAA conference and tournament championship he retired 43rd in scoring with 4,682
Earl Lloyd was an all american during his senior year i high school of park grey he averaged 14 points and 8 rebounds per game in college at west virginia state he was named his teams best defensive player.
