The Cedar Ridge Weekly
May 16, 2021
Message from Dr. Ramirez
Hello Cedar Ridge Students and Families,
On Friday Governor Cooper made an announcement lifting some mandatory health and safety requirements. Presently, no changes have been made to OCS schools. If changes are made, you will be notified.
As a friendly reminder, Wednesday, May 26, is the last day of our normal school schedule. Beginning, May 27, we will start our end-of-year testing. Only students who are taking End of Course exams and CTE exams will need to follow a specific testing schedule and come to school. Students who are not testing can stay home.
Some may ask: What are students if they aren't taking a CTE or EOC testing? The school year officially ends on June 4. Prior to that, students who are not testing will need to do the following:
1. Check-in remotely with teachers for any work or announcements.
2. Complete any late or missing assignments - all school work is due on June 1st, by the end of the school day.
3. Read a good book!
Cedar Ridge will be hosting summer school. Take a look at our summer section below to see how to sign up.
I hope you all have a fantastic week!
Sincerely,
Dr. Ramirez

If your child will be returning to school in-person next school year, please do not complete this survey.
As Orange County Schools (OCS) works to provide our students and their families a 100% virtual/online (fully remote, at home) school option for the next school year, we need to know how many families are interested in this virtual/online/remote learning option.
