State-Mandated Testing Updates

Dear Cresthill Families,

We are in the process of preparing for our state-mandated testing. To find information regarding our planned schedule for CMAS & CoALT/DLM testing, the DCSD Assessment Policy and district schedule, and information regarding testing excusals, please find your way to the "State Mandated Testing" tab on the Cresthill website. (Note: The excusals "portal" is open at this point should you choose to excuse your child from testing. We will ask that, on days of testing and if your child is excused that he or she stay home (an excused absence). If you intend to excuse your child, please do so as early as possible.) Thank you!

Note: The final building testing schedule has not been finalized but do know that we are planning to conduct testing during the first three weeks of April. A more detailed schedule regarding the testing window will be posted during the week of December 12th.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our school assessment coordinator, Mr. Wakefield, at mdwakefield@dcsdk12.org

Orthodontic Services

Parents! Is your student in need of orthodontic care that you can't afford? Total Orthodontics might be able to help through the TOgether Project! Watch their video to learn more about what they do and to hear from past recipients about this life-changing program. The general criteria for being considered for the free braces and the application may be found at https://total-orthodontics.com/togetherproject/tosmiles/ Any child who qualifies for free or reduced lunch should meet the financial requirements to apply. To date, they have provided free braces to approximately 120 financially disadvantaged children. Unique to their program is the fact that recipients of the free braces Pay it Forward by doing a 40 hour community service project of their own design. This creates a ripple effect of goodwill in our community. Our recipients have already collectively donated over 4,000 hours of community service; that is two years of full time work! See the attached flyers for more information!

Donations Needed - 3rd Quarter

Hi Cresthill Families, you have been asking us about how you can help us out. We have attached a Sign Up of items that will help us make it through the day. If you are able to donate an item we would really appreciate it. Donations can be brought into the office. Thank you for showing your support.

Supporting Cresthill

We appreciate the support of our community. Cresthill does not have a PTO program and we limit fundraisers. We do rely on your generosity and support with these programs:
Do you shop at King Soopers? Did you know that King Soopers offers community rewards? WE have approximately 110 families who have designated Cresthill to receive funds. We would love to increase that number. The quarterly checks we receive from King Soopers really make a difference to our school budget.

Once logged into your King Soopers or City Market account go to:

Savings and Rewards > King Soopers Community Rewards then you can search for Cresthill Middle School either by name or YJ180 and then click Enroll.

New users will need to create an account which requires some basic information, a valid email address and a loyalty card.

Thank you!
