Did you know...
there will be about 22,000 new cancer diagnoses in Connecticut this year?
there will be about 590,000 cancer-related deaths in the U.S. this year?
What is Relay for Life?
Relay for Life is a family-friendly event and you do not have to be on a team to participate. Teams have at least 1 participant on the track walking for the entire 24 hour event. Teams sell food, crafts, and host activities to fundraise for the American Cancer Society.
Where does the money go?
The American Cancer Society uses the money to support...
-Hope Lodge facilities to provide patients and families places to stay if they have to travel for treatment.
-Road to Recovery that provides transportation to and from treatment.
-RESEARCH!!!
