Year 5 and 6 School Camp
16th - 19th November 2021
Kia ora year 5 and 6 whānau!
A reminder that our school camp is coming up on Tuesday November 16th till Friday November 19th.
It is an expectation that your child/ren will attend this camp as it is an essential part of the school curriculum, and an integral part of their development. Team work, independence, self belief, conquering of challenges, collaboration are just a few of the skills that your child will further develop during this fun adventure!
Tom Sheehan, Amy Cousins and myself will be the staff attending camp.

Here is the link to the Medical Consent Form - each child and adult attending camp needs to have one of these completed and sent through to the Camp by Friday 22nd of October.
A reminder please….payment…. If you have any questions or require a statement balance please contact Tracey in the office. We do ask please that these are paid by 1 October 2021.
Below the gear list required for your child/ren.
A separate gear list will be emailed out to camp parent volunteers.
Each child attending camp will bring a container of nut-free baking to camp to be a part of our morning and afternoon teas, and our suppers.
No electronic devices of any kind are to come to camp, and no lollies please.

Camp Gear List
Below is the gear list for your child.
We recommend naming all gear so that it can be identified if lost.
MANDATORY GEAR
The below mandatory gear is required for all participants
Personal Medication
Waterproof jacket (activities run in the wet, so please ensure this is waterproof).
Sleeping bag and pillow
2x pairs of shoes (closed toe - one for wet, one for dry).
Toiletries
5x Pairs of underwear
6x Pairs of socks
4x T-shirts
2x Pairs of long pants
2x Shorts
2x warm layers (Not cotton) – Fleece or wool only!
PJ’s
Sunscreen
Sunhat
Warm Hat (beanie)
Torch
Reusable bag for wet/dirty clothes
RECOMMENDED GEAR
The below recommended gear is really good to have at camp but not mandatory
- Insect repellent
- Bed sheet, extra blanket
- Gumboots
- 2 sets of thermals
OPTIONAL GEAR
The below optional gear can be brought to camp if you would like
- Teddy bear
- Reading book
