Math- We will be finishing up our measurement unit this week and beginning our graphing unit.

Reading/Science- We will be focusing on our Sun, Moon and Stars unit and continuing to work on non-fiction texts this week.

Pennies for Patients

Our class is in 2nd place and has raised $122.43! The school has raised $945.72 so far!

Our school is collecting money to support The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help find cures for blood cancer patients. You should have received an informational flyer and coin collection box yesterday. If you have any questions please let me know.

Please read 10 minutes each night for a total of 50 minutes for the week. If you miss a night you can make it up throughout the week or on the weekend. Please return reading logs on Monday the 25th. If they are using Raz-Kids they can include that time on their reading log.

Winter Weather

We will be going outside for recess as long as the wind chill is above 20 degrees. Please remember to bring hats, scarves, gloves and coats everyday. Also, our classroom is sometimes a little chilly when the outside doors open. Your student might want to bring a jacket for the classroom.

1st grade students check-out three books each week and bring home one book at a time.
