We Are Growing and Blooming Here at OES
It is now time for us to plant the seeds of hope in our students' hearts. We will give them plenty of attention providing the nurturing environment as well as the support from the foundational academic and behavioral goals to be met. It is now time for us to begin the final and 4th quarter of learning and do so finishing strong! If you have questions, comments and/or concerns regarding your child's progress, please reach out to your child's teacher. Your child's teacher will be in touch to schedule a 2nd Semester/End of Year Conference. We thank our teachers for planning and preparing the delivery of their lessons and are here to collaborate with you, our families and support academic growth of our students!

2nd Grade ACAP Assessments
Our OES 2nd graders will take the state assessment the week of Monday, April 12th-Friday, April 16th. The Alabama Comprehensive Assessment Program (ACAP) is the new testing series for students in 2nd through 8th grade. This assessment covers ELA (reading, language arts, writing), mathematics, and science standards and skills (4th grade only). Second Grade Students will test using computers in the computer lab. Please make sure that your students are at school on time each day. Make sure they eat a good breakfast or encourage them to eat breakfast at school. Also, encourage them to do their best each day they test.
