The Kaospilot Become program is an immersive and blended next generation design training for designers, creative entrepreneurs, educational change agents, innovation directors, and business owners.

The program is built on the signature Kaospilot rigorous training platform that dynamically combines practice, reflection and theory. It is an advanced You get the opportunity to practice your craft as a design leader, not just talk about it and apply the skills directly to your own organization.


We came to understand the power of the design practice to shape the world we live in. Now it’s critical to learn how to tame this power and channel it towards the development of meaningful interventions in our environment, in our society and in our organisations. We acknowledge that the best path of transformation of our organizations and systems runs in parallel with the transformation of ourselves, our awareness and of our way of seeing.

The Kaospilot Become program will give you the conceptual and practical tools to co-design meaningful, memorable and impactful experiences. You will radically strengthen your ability as a designer to transform organisations, technologies, products, cultures and people into agents of positive change .

*This is an advanced level training. You must have completed the 3 day ‘Kaospilot Experience Design Training’, or else set up an interview to be admitted into this learning experience.


This is a 6 week long learning journey that will rocket you forwards as a designer, leader and change agent. Your learning journey will begin 3 day immersive kick-off training to be hosted in Galicia, Spain, followed by 4 weeks of remote learning back in your context, where you will be supported with coaching and inspiring weekly calls with international experts in related disciplines. Finally, back in Spain, we will wrap up the program with a 3 day landing of the learning journey.

The program intends to leave a positive legacy everywhere is hosted, therefore we will take on challenges defined by our local hosts. In this first edition, we will be working in the beautiful city of Santiago de Compostela, the capital of the northern Spanish region of Galicia and final destination of one of the greatest collective spiritual experiences someone can take, the pilgrimage along el Camino. We will work with our hosts to identify design related challenges that will serve as core shared reflection along our learning journey.

An end-to-end design process that you will apply to the creation of impactful interventions on businesses, technology and organisational through practical challenges. The program is experimentally conceived under one principle: in order to design the world, we have to design ourselves, as we acknowledge that in order to deal with the challenges that we face as individuals, communities and organisations we need a higher level of awareness, a new set of skills and a sensible, creative, open, critical and compassionate type of leadership.

Jaakko is a ‘carioca’ born designer, son of a Finnish craftsman, who believes to be able to (re)design the world, creatively empowering people through a design behavior. Throughout his career, Jaakko received more than 30 Design Awards and is frequently invited as speaker, jury and curator, for events such as Cannes Lions, IxDA, Path Festival and Brazilian Design Biennial, among others.

As an executive he created the ‘Experience Design Area’ for Whirlpool LATAM, which was replicated globally and, later, he consulted on Strategic and Organizational Design for local and global companies, as well as, a project fort the Brazilian government. Jaakko joined FJORD where he can contribute on organizational transformation, through new mindsets and attitudes that will impact on the way we build value today.

We are honored to bring in some very talented professional experience designers as mentors into the Kaospilot program. Jaakko will share his unique take on experience design with the group. He will work along with the other participants to solve the cases together. This means it is a chance to not only hear exceptional experience design ideas, but also work next to Jaakko and see how leads teams, and makes important design decisions.


Andy works with talented producers and experience production teams globally to create the sought after Kaospilot Experience Design learning experience immersions. He is the lead facilitator and program Manager for the Kaospilot Experience Design Profession Course.


The intention of the School of Facilitators is to contribute to facilitators’ personal and professional growth and promote exchange of experiences and facilitation practices. We believe in facilitation as a practice that can be developed and used in different contexts.
