Good Morning Conowingo Families,

We have some GREAT NEWS! Conowingo Elementary School will be getting a new secure entrance. The construction of this will begin next week. With any remodeling that occurs, there will be some inconveniences and changes to the status quo. Here are some of those changes:

1. The main office where parents and visitors will enter the building will be the doors between the Media Center and the Car-Rider entrance.

2. Our bus loop will operate the same. However, fencing will prevent students from entering where they usually would. Instead, students will enter and dismiss from the single door by what used to be the principal's office to the right of the main doors.

3. Our car-rider loop will remain and operate the same.

4. The Principal, Assistant Principal, and Nurse's office have been relocated along with some classrooms to accommodate the change.

Because of its complexity, this project will take most of the school year. However, it will not interfere with our ability to deliver instruction. We are about ensuring the safety of our students and staff here at Conowingo, and we are thrilled about the new secure entrance.
