Patriot Peek at the Week News

Week of October 31-November 4

Dear Wolf Ridge Students and Families,

Red Ribbon Week was a blast! Students and staff participated in fun dress-up days and learned about how to say, "No!" to drugs and alcohol. Thank you to our room parents and PFK for hosting class parties this afternoon. Check out pictures from today in the video below.

Our junior high students are invited to a special BOO BASH tonight. There will be a costume contest and fun games provided by our Junior High Student Council. We hope you will join!

Character Trait of the Month: Citizenship

Big picture

A NOTE from Ms. Manar:

This morning we had an assembly to celebrate our October Character Trait, Respect. We also introduced our November Character Trait, which is Citizenship. Students were given the opportunity to have their voice heard in a fun way on an “important” vote—which staff member to silly string! You’ll have to ask your child who won the popular vote! Students learned that citizenship is about doing your part and being active in your school and community. This month I plan to share ways our students are showing citizenship here at school. I would love to include ways they are displaying citizenship outside of school, too. This is where I need your help! Has your family volunteered or participated in your own service project? Is your child involved in one of the many local groups like Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4H, Youth Group, or another community minded group? Please share the work your child has done by submitting a brief description and photo of how your child has displayed citizenship to: tmanar@bhcusd.org

Check back each week here in our Patriot Peek to see shining examples of how our youth is making a difference!

PATRIOT FAN CLUB

We are opening back up the Patriot Fan Club sign-ups and extending it to 4th graders, also. Students in 4th-8th grade were sent home with a sign-up form on Tuesday. All we need is your $25 fee, shirt size, and name in an envelope by Monday for you to be entered into the club. Fan Club members get in FREE to all home Patriot games, participate in fun half-time games, get a fan club shirt (pictured below), and enjoy incentives like free popcorn and candy for special events. Don't forget to sign-up by Monday! This will be the last time we allow more sign-ups this year.
