The Annex of Austria
In 1938, the Germans annexed Austria. Eva lived in Vienna at the time; She was then forced to flee to Paris by transportation through railroads or trains. After the Germans entered Paris in 1940, Eva and her parents decided to escape to the south. Two years later, Eva and her family were forced to flee from the south.
Refuge
Eva was then forced to trek across the mountains between Switzerland and France; They took refuge in a small french village. The name of that village is St. Martin. They were liberated in that village in 1944. Four years later, Eva and her parents emigrated to the United States.
