Giving the Gift of Reading with New Books
Students and teachers alike are looking forward to the two week holiday break which is quickly approaching. With all of the anticipation of gift giving and receiving that accompanies the holidays Library Media Specialist, Rhonda Bell, wants to share the gift of new books with everyone. Since Thanksgiving Break at least FORTY-FIVE new titles have been added to the Western Hills High School Library Collection. This number does not include the books which were purchased to replace lost copies of certain titles such as Eragon by Christopher Paolini, Burned by Ellen Hopkins, and Beautiful Chaos by Kami Garcia.
Everyone is encouraged to stop by the library and check out some of the amazing new books which have been purchased. Every month eleven new books arrive from the Junior Library Guild. These books include fiction, non-fiction, biographies, and all genres. Books have also been purchased to support the curriculum taught at WHHS. Specifically books were bought for the Agriculture, Social Studies, Health, and Medical Sciences departments.
I think you will find something you like amongst the recent purchases. Please visit the library and have a wonderful holiday!!!
