Jamestown- (1607) Roanoke- (1585)

Roanoke island was the place founded in North America. Sir Walter Raleigh lead the expedition but put two explore in control, Philip Amadas and Arthur Barlowe.

They arrived on Roanoke Island on July 4. A few years went by and John white and a crew of his was order to travel and check on the settlers at Roanoke island, but when they arrived on July 22, 1587, they founded nothing and no one. Jamestown didn't come into the picture until the early 1600's. It was the first permanent English settlement. it was located in the first colony of Virginia, served as the capital of the colony for 83 years.

Many people moved to Jamestown to grow tobacco and start a new life.

Queen Elizabeth 1 (1533-1603)

She gave the permission to explore the "New World". She was the Queen of England and Ireland until her death, she called "The Virgin Queen". She played an important role in the founding of the world.

Sir Walter Raleigh (1552-1618)

He was a lot of things, writer poet, soldier, explore, and more. He established the colony. He discover and the settlers had disappeared and the word Croatoan was carved into tree trunks.
