Copeland Hoofbeat
Friday, November 30th
From the Principal
Dear Copeland Families,
I hope you all had a great week off and a nice Thanksgiving. I spent most of the week in Louisiana with family. We have so much for which to be thankful.
At Copeland, we are thankful for wonderful community sponsors. We have been blessed with donations from the following area businesses for our Veterans’ Day festivities and Colonial Day: Romero’s Las Brazas Restaurant, Whataburger, Cypress Yard Signs, Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee, Borden’s, and Jason’s Deli. Please support these awesome community partners!
Looking ahead, our students will have a Mix It Up lunch on Friday, December 7th. On that day, students will have an opportunity to eat lunch with students in other grade level classes. No lunch visitors are allowed on this day to allow for this fun student activity. Thanks for your understanding. We are excited about our 5th grade program to be held on December 11th at 6:30. Mrs. Vigil has been busy preparing the students to entertain us all. We are in for a treat! We will have a brief PTO meeting starting at 6:15. Please attend if you are able.
Our Winter Parties will be December 21st. Remember to send in your RSVPs if you or your family members plan to attend. While you are out shopping, please pick up a gift for our Giving Tree. Additional information can be found in this edition of the Hoofbeat. Our Giving Tree is another wonderful Copeland tradition.

The Giving Tree
A Copeland Tradition!
During this special time of year Copeland is helping Texas Children’s Hospital by providing toys for their patients. Families that have children receiving medical care often struggle financially and spend the majority of their time in the hospital alongside their child. Your gift of a toy, large or small, will be given to help a child smile!
Please bring your new unwrapped gift on Friday, December 21st. On that day, the Copeland tradition continues with a processional of students carrying their gifts to the stage and placing them under our tree
