Snackpack Program
Dear Parent or Guardian,
The Snackpack program is available to students at Chippewa Middle School through a partnership between the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf and the Mounds View Public School District.
The Snackpack program is supported by community donations and volunteers and is designed to provide non-perishable food items every Friday to children that would benefit from supplemental nourishment over the weekend. Snackpacks consist of 8 to 10 mini meals and snack items that are child friendly, non-perishable, and easily consumed. Bags are dispensed in a discreet and caring manner by school staff each week. This program runs the full school year and there is no cost to participate.
If you wish for your child(ren) to participate in the program please contact Jonathan Melena at your child’s school at 651-621-6428 to request a permission form. If your children attend more than one school, you can include them all on one permission form.
Interested in supporting the Snackpack program? Visit www.ralphreederfoodshelf or call 651-621-6280.
We wish your family the very best during the 2019-2020 school year!

For the first time in 13 years, Mounds View Public Schools is asking residents to consider a levy increase. If approved, the District will have more reliable funding to provide stable class sizes and consistent programs for students – for the next 10 years. What’s the direct impact at Chippewa Middle School? The School Board invites you to attend a levy informational meeting on Thursday, October 3rd in the Chippewa library. All are welcome to attend, ask questions and learn more about the levy. For more information, visit www.moundsviewschools.org/doneforadecade.
