PCHS & PCMS "Eagle UPDATE"

November 18, 2020

We LOVE Our Veterans!

The COVID-19 situation made it difficult for us to do our usual Veteran's Day luncheon and assembly. We adjusted a bit and served lunch to our veterans "Drive-Thru" style!

Teacher of the Month - Mr. Abramovitz

Mr. Abramovitz graduated from Pierce City High School in 2006. He helps our students through the ALR Program (Alternative Learning Room), where students do credit recovery and/or earn a diploma through the Missouri Options Program. When we put some of our virtual students on an online learning platform called Edgenuity, Mr. Abramovitz volunteered to help these students succeed on the platform (he is an Edgenuity expert). We are SO happy to have Mr. Abramovitz on the PCHS team!

Attention, Class of 2021!

New scholarships are being added to the school's website under the Seniors tab. Reminder to fill out FAFSA and scholarships!

COVID-19 Update

Unfortunately, the number of positive COVID-19 cases in Lawrence County is rising. As a result, we have had an uptick in positive cases as well. We recommend that parents, students, and staff follow these guidelines to keep everyone safe!

1. Take your student's temperature several times a day.

2. Encourage face coverings, hand washing, social distancing.

3. Minimize the number of visits by friends.

4. Encourage your student to check their Google Classroom for lessons and assignments posted by their teachers

5. Keep your student at home if he/she is feeling sick.

We only have 16 school days until the end of the first semester - we can make it!!
