A note of Gratitude
During the month of November, Disney teachers and students are reflecting on what we are grateful for. We would love to hear from our valued families and community about what and who you are grateful for at Disney Elementary School.
Please take a brief moment to express your gratitude to our amazing staff by clicking here to complete a google form. Your words of appreciation make a great impact on our climate and culture.
Your responses will be shared with the staff throughout the Holiday season.
Holiday Shop is Coming!
Starting Monday, our students will have the opportunity to shop at our Holiday Shoppe from November 28th - December 2nd. Families can preview items by clicking here. Gift Certificates can be purchased online if you do not want to send your child to school with cash. You can purchase gift certificates by clicking here.
Our PTO is looking for parent volunteers to assist with this event. All volunteers must have a background check on file. If you're able to volunteer, please sign up by clicking here!
Winter Music Concert
Our 4th-6th graders are participating in a holiday concert on Thursday, December 1st. The concert begins at 7:00PM in the FHS Auditorium. Students should arrive by 6:30PM and can enter through Door 51 and enter the choir rooms to prepare for the concert. Festive/holiday formal dress is encouraged for concert participants.
MONSTER TOOTH FAIRY PILLOWS
Our Fraser High School Industrial Sewing students made Monster Tooth Fairy Pillows in class. They got to use their new skills and create these tooth pillows to donate to all the elementary buildings in the district! Students came over to deliver their projects and read to our kindergarten students. Thank you to Mrs. Yokhana and her students!
6TH GRADE Pizza Box World Geography Project
This project is designed to gain a deeper understanding of world geography by researching facts, flags, landmarks, population, and use maps to explain relationships between location of places and regions. Each student is studying a country of their choice, designing a unique display of their work in a pizza box, and presented their project to classmates.
We were excited and grateful that Little Caesars donated these boxes to support a memorable and educational journey we are going through with this work. Also, THANK YOU to all our 6th grade families that joined their child with this effort and for elevating a learning experience that they will remember!
Requests To Transition Between Virtual and Face-To-Face Learning Accepted Through December 6th
Now through December 6, families can request a change in the learning mode for their student(s) for the second semester of the 2022-2023 school year. Students who are currently enrolled in-person can switch to virtual, and students who are enrolled in virtual can switch to in-person. If you do not wish to switch your child’s learning mode, no action is necessary.
Submitting the form linked below not guarantee a request will be granted. Requests will be reviewed by building and district leadership and the parent/guardian will be notified. If approved, the change will be effective for the second semester (January 3, 2022 - June 9, 2023). Once a request has been approved, it will be for the duration of the second semester. Please carefully consider this semester-long commitment before submitting this application, as requests to change throughout the second semester will not be granted.
If you are interested in changing your child’s learning mode for the second semester, please fill out the form below.
You will be notified if your request is approved.

Ready or Not the Cold Weather is Here!
We're starting to see MANY students bundled up each day, which is great! Please be sure to send your child to school dressed for the weather each day. Students will start needing warm coats, gloves, hats, scarves, and/or boots daily throughout the winter.
Please take time to label each and every item- because our lost and found gets bombarded with lost winter accessories throughout the season
Please note that, per Board Policy, we will be having outdoor morning lineup and heading outdoors for our 20 minute recess(es) if the windchill is 10+ degrees.
Time outdoors is time well spent for kids, in all seasons
