Crosby Scholars
It’s never too early to think about college and your future! You can join Crosby Scholars as early as 6th grade. Students have the opportunity to receive FREE assistance with planning for their future and learning many different life enrichment topics such as: team building, study skills & many more! Visit our website www.crosbyscholarsiredell.org for more information.
Grades and Attendance
Grades and attendance will be considered if/when athletics resume.
WIN Wednesday
We are seeing a decline in attendance on Wednesday. To help, we have adjusted the time for our first required group session. Moving forward (under plan c), Imp Time will be every Wednesday starting at 9am. Every MMS student has a 9am class on Wednesday. Please be sure to remind your student that he/she should log into their Imp Time class every Wednesday at 9am. Every Wednesday at 9am students will participate in our social and emotional learning curriculum. Our district has provided experiences that will help students think about their own well-being, help students to reflect, and give students an opportunity to interact with peers.
During one or more of the three listed group times your child may be invited to work with a teacher. These invitations will be emailed to students and parents Tuesday evening. Please be sure your child attends the session, if they are invited to one. The sessions are NOT just for tutoring or remediation. The sessions may include STEM classes, book studies, extension projects, check-in time, work support, or tutoring.
