So what exactly can a virus do? A virus is capable of infecting cells, using them to create even more viruses, mutate, cause disease in any biotic factor. They are capable of doing much being a way smaller size than bacterial and animal cells.
Virus reproduction counts on cells to reproduce.
So why are viruses not cells? Viruses do not have a cellular structure, no respiration, unable to move.
