Welcome
Welcome to our weekly Gator Bites newsletter! Every Sunday evening our team at CGE will send out any important updates for the following week. Our goal is to be prepared, transparent and informative!
Stay safe, stay informed and stay Gator Strong! 🐊
From the Principal's Desk
I hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break. I know our staff enjoyed some rest and fun. We’ll all be back tomorrow morning ready to finish the year strong. We’ve got a lot of learning remaining between now and June 8th.
I’m sending a final reminder of an informational meeting we are hosting surrounding the continuum of services we offer based on district, state and federal policies and requirements. The meeting will be held on May 3rd at 5:30 at Chatham Grove.
If you haven't done so already, please RSVP here for each guest attending by April 25th so we have an accurate headcount to help us identify our best meeting spot in our school.
At the meeting, we plan to discuss:
Tier 1, 2, and 3 services
The differences between Tier 1, 2, 3, and Exceptional Children (EC) services
The differences between 504 and EC services
The inclusion model & the concept of least restrictive environment
We will review expectations surrounding the continuum of services.

From the Counselors
Introducing your 2022 CGE Student Council
Spirit Commissioner- Sarah
Favorite hobbies:
Sewing, crafting, reading, soccer, singing, and playing the violin.
Why do you want to be on the CGE Student Council? What changes do you hope to make?
The reason I chose to be on the student council is that even though this school is great, I believe I can make it even better. I hope to improve spirit in the school in many different forms.
What are your goals?
One of my goals is to make more spirit in the school and make people look forward to going to school. I also want school to be a place where people can learn and have fun, not just do work.
A little more about Sarah:
I would like this school to be more exciting for teachers and students.
4th Grade Representative- Elijah
Favorite hobbies:
Football, building things, and running.
Why do you want to be on the CGE Student Council? What changes do you hope to make?
I want to make CGE a better place by putting grass on the fields/playgrounds and cleaning up trash.
What are your goals for the future?
To get a clean-up crew to clean up the perimeter of the school premises.
CAFETERIA VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED!
The cafeteria staff is a small but mighty team that could use parent volunteers to help with breakfast and lunch service.

Camp Invention
Camp Invention is full for campers this summer!! Camp will take place here at Chatham Grove June 13-17 from 8am-4pm. Leadership Interns will be paid a flat rate of $150 (new) or $175 (returning) and can get recommendation letters for college and/or future jobs.
We are also looking for more parent volunteers to help with lunch and managing the supply room. Please note that all parent volunteers will need to fill out Chatham County's volunteer form. Parent Volunteers will receive a discount code to receive $130 off up to 2 campers or $30 off up to 2 Leaders in Training which can be refunded if you have already registered your child.
