Welcome Back
Headphones Needed
We will be receiving our 1 to 1 I pad devices very soon. Each learner will need to provide his or her own headphones. We store these in our cubbies, so durability and comfort are key! Learners tend to prefer headphones with a cushiony earpiece, as opposed to ear buds, that often do not fit properly. We use our I pads with sound for several district online assessments, as well as other enrichments to our curriculum, such as a self guided tour of George Washington's home at Mt. Vernon! Thank you for your support!

Helpful Information
Birthday Celebrations (All Grade Levels) We encourage healthy food choices whenever possible. Although a parent or guardian is not prohibited from providing food for a school-designated function or for children in the child’s classroom for his or her birthday, please be aware that children in the school may have severe allergies to certain food products. For this reason, all goods should store bought with the ingredients listed on the label. Therefore, it is imperative to discuss this with the child’s teacher prior to bringing any food in this circumstance. Occasionally, the school or a class may host certain functions or celebrations tied to the curriculum that will involve food. The school or teacher will notify students and parents of any known food allergies when soliciting potential volunteers for bringing food products. Goodie bags, balloons, party favors and other items are prohibited and such items provided during the school day will not be delivered to the student(s).
If a learner is bringing in birthday treats, please have the parent deliver them to the front office so that Nurse Janie can review the food label.
- Background Checks: New for the 2019-2020 school year, CISD is using an application process for all volunteers in the District. In order to upgrade the security of your personal information, you will be required to fill out an application (setting up a new secure user name and password) and background form. This user name and password will be used again each year you complete the form. Volunteers are a valuable part of our educational team. and we appreciate all you do!
- Please follow these steps to complete your Volunteer Background Check:
