The funtions of Iron
- Iron is esssential for respiration, energy metabolism, and immune funtion.
- Iron deficiency causes dizziness, weakness, crankieness, shortness of breath, and it causes one to have trouble concentrating.
- Pica is a pattern of eating non-food materials.
- Vitaman C is recommended because it helps your body absorb more iron.
- In women there is a menstruating blood loss, which therefore results in an increase of iron requirements.
