The funtions of Iron

  • Iron is esssential for respiration, energy metabolism, and immune funtion.
  • Iron deficiency causes dizziness, weakness, crankieness, shortness of breath, and it causes one to have trouble concentrating.
  • Pica is a pattern of eating non-food materials.
  • Vitaman C is recommended because it helps your body absorb more iron.
  • In women there is a menstruating blood loss, which therefore results in an increase of iron requirements.
