Cascade #Tiger Readers showed up, looked good, had some fun and made history by being a part of our school’s first HRRB Picture Book team (m including 1- 3 graders). We have competed for several yers with the 4-5 grade HRRB Team. The 4-5 graders will compete on January 29, 2023 at DM Therrell High School.
- Our team Sterling Boatwright, Chloe Gates, Zavion Howard, Arielle , Arielle Middlebrooks, Ariel Williams, and Christine Winn particpated by reading the 20 picture books chosen for the Georgia Book Awards this year and competed with 12 other elementary schools. They did an awesome job!!

SEL Book of the month FAMILY IS A FAMILY IS A FAMILY by SaraO'Leary
IB Attribute : Open Mindedness
When a teacher asks her class to think about what makes families special the answers are all different in many different ways-- but the same in one way that matters most of all. One is raised by a grandmother, and another has two dads. One in full of stepsibilings, and another has a new baby. As one by one, her classmates describe who they live with and who loves them---- family of every shape, size and every kind of relation--- the child realizes that as long as her family is full of caring people, her family is special.
