Beacon Elementary School: March 2023
Weather Make-Up Days: School in Session March 10 and March 24
CALENDAR CHANGE: March 10 and March 24 were designated weather days on our school calendar. Because there were weather related school closures on December 1 and February 23, school will be in session on March 10 and March 24 to make up for the missed days.
DROP-OFF & PICK-UP REMINDER
As spring approaches, we would like to take this opportunity to remind you about our school's parking arrangements. We kindly request that families with pre-K students use "Lot C" for drop-off and pick-up purposes.
Please note that the use of "Lot C" is reserved for our pre-K families, and we ask that all other families use the designated car drop-off and pick-up area. We want to emphasize that the use of "Lot C" by other families interferes with the safe dropping off/picking up of our pre-K students by our buses.
We understand that traffic and parking can be a hassle, but ensuring the safety of our students is our top priority. Your cooperation in adhering to these arrangements will help us maintain a safe and organized environment for all students.

Open Enrollment Coming Soon
Open enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year begins April 24, 2023. A link will be available on the Montesano School District website at www.monteschools.org to enroll NEW students using the Skyward Family Access system. Proof of age, immunization records, and proof of residency are required at the time of enrollment for all students. Students already attending Montesano schools do not need to re-enroll. More details will be coming soon.
Save the Date! Parent Input Week
Parent input week is scheduled for April 24 – April 28 for both Beacon Elementary and Simpson Elementary. If you would like to provide input regarding your child's learning style or needs for the upcoming school year, please complete the online form that will be available during parent input week. All submissions will be taken into consideration by the principals.
Lost and Found
Is your child missing a sweatshirt or jacket? You can check our lost and found online. A link is available on our website or by clicking here: Beacon Lost & Found.
It is very helpful to clearly label personal belongings with your child's name so that lost items may be returned promptly.
