All current students will automatically be registered for the 2016-2017 school year.

There is no need to re-register students that are currently attending Suwanee Elementary.

The City of Suwanee invites your students ....

The City of Suwanee invites your students to participate in the second annual “be the grand marshal” contest – open to all K-12 students attending a school that serves City of Suwanee residents (Collins Hill, North Gwinnett, and Peachtree Ridge) or who attend private or home school but reside in one of those cluster districts. Students do NOT have to reside inside city limits to enter, but must attend an area school.

Last year, we had a successful essay contest open to middle schoolers; this year we’re expanding to include all levels of students. They may write a short essay OR create a short 1-minute or less video entry! The deadline will be before school begins (August 1), and the parade is Saturday, September 17. We will notify parents of winners and also the principals of the represented schools so that you may attend the parade and the special City Council recognition in August.

The theme is “Super Suwanee, Super People,” and we want to know about the super “heroes” in your students’ lives. It may be a teacher, a parent, a religious or youth leader, a survivor, coach, etc. We are certain there are terrific folks out there and we want to hear about them from a student’s perspective, in his or her own words!

All entries are due no later than Monday, August 1, 2016. Details can be found here:

Book Writing Contest

As part of the district's birth through five initiative, the Offices are Language Arts, Fine Arts, and Early Learning and School Readiness are partnering to provide an opportunity for student authors and illustrators to participate in a book writing contest. Prizes will be awarded to the winners, but the most exciting part is that the winner of the contest will have his or her book published for distribution to all parents of babies born in Gwinnett County. There are approximately 12,000 babies born each year in GCPS, so our student authors/illustrators will have more widespread distribution than many

Save the Date

Save the date for the 2016 Big T'Do.
