A shout out needs to be given to Jessica, Mark, and Jesse for facilitating an awesome graduation tour this year! Also, Lisa needs kudos as she helped facilitate a lot of the background work for these events. All of you helped make this important day very special for our graduates!

Applause goes to Jessica, Mark, Jesse and Lisa!

Jesse received the following email this week: "Oh thank you so much! This is great I cannot wait to graduate early, you’ve been a big help, and definitely the best counselor I’ve had!"

Bravo, Jesse!

Jesse received another awesome email from a graduating senior: "Hello, I just wanted to let you know im graduating and I want to thank you for all your encouragement, patience, and support throughout my IDVA schooling. I really enjoyed you as a counslor! So thank you again for everything! I hope you have a good summer!"

SSS Department Trivia

Week 8 of Round 3 - Who am I?

WHO AM I? " I spent 6 weeks in the Georgia wilderness with no shower."

The answer is Cassidy White!

Only Tree got it correct!

Pam - 3

Bev - 2

Tree - 1

Deslynn - 1

Jessica - 1

Loretta - 1

Jesse - 1

Lisa -1

Here is what Cassidy has to say about this story:

When I was 13, I was dealing with some difficult situations and making poor choices. In an attempt to help with this, my mom sent me to Second Nature: Blue Ridge in the Georgia mountains. I hiked for 6 weeks in sweltering, humid weather. During this time, there were no showers, bathrooms, or communication with the outside world. As much as I hated it at the time, I went back home with more confidence and a completely different mindset! (And a severe case of food poisoning!) I can also still make my own bow drill from poplar bark and bust embers for a fire. Thanks, mom!
