New Year, New Start

Make success your resolution!

Why do we make New Year's resolutions?

A New Year's resolution is a decision to do or not to do something in the coming year. We make resolutions to accomplish a goal or to break a bad habit. This is a time when we look back at the previous year and make an effort to improve ourselves.

What can your Keystone Resolution be?

One of the greatest things about Keystone is the flexibility we provide. Remember, you have 24/7 access to your courses so you can really work on them whenever YOU want! Perhaps you have been a little to liberal with this freedom. When you signed up for courses you planned on working 6 hour days and finishing your courses in 5 months! And that lasted for what? Maybe a month or two? As time went on you became comfortable (a little too comfortable) with all this freedom and pretty soon found yourself logging into Blackboard a few days a week and only working about three hours a day. Well NO more! Make those lazy ways a thing of the past!
Another great thing about Keystone is that you have a teacher for EVERY class and you can contact your teacher whenever you want! Teachers are required to respond to your questions within 24 business hours so help is never too far away! Have you been taking full advantage of this? Are your grades suffering because there is a topic that you don't quite understand or maybe you aren't sure how to do an assignment so you just "wing it"? Well STOP DOING THAT! ASK YOUR TEACHER!! This year you are going to stop and save your work when you encounter something you are unsure of and call or email your teacher. They're the experts on this subject--let them help!
Perhaps this year you want to get more involved. One of the things new students seem to like about Keystone is that we offer clubs that you can join to meet other Keystone students. Have you joined a club yet? If not, now is the time! You can find a complete list of the clubs we offer in the Community section of your Blackboard homeroom.

Let's Make it a great year!
